I've decided on a project for 2012: Bottled Rainbows, a color-sorted ticker tape quilt.
These are fat quarters of most of the solids I need for it, so now I want to start sorting my scraps by color so they'll be all ready to go in January. And so I can be on the lookout for scraps in colors I'm short on.
There are sixteen blocks, and only twelve months in the year, so depending on how the project goes for me, I'll either just stop at twelve (which is, coincidentally, how many colors are in the picture above), or try to do the other four blocks spread out over the year when I have time.
In mostly unrelated news, while I was writing this post, I fell down a rabbit hole of gorgeous Bottled Rainbows photos on flickr, and I forgot that I'd left a cup of tea steeping. For twenty minutes. Holy wow, this stuff is STRONG.

oh yeah some of those bottled rainbow quilts came out really pretty! :) but 20 minute tea I'd probably have to just dump out! :)
