It's been said before but here's further proof: it's impossible to photograph a project knit in black yarn.
This is the Versailles shell I started last summer, in Karabella Vintage Cotton. I put it aside when I realized I'd screwed up the neck shaping and didn't feel like figuring it out right away, and then I really put it aside when it became claer I wasn't going to be able to finish it before fall arrived and the weather was too cool to wear it.
But now spring is here and Versailles is back. I fixed the neck shaping, and now I have only the right front and the edging left to go. As you can see from the picture, it also needs a good blocking to even things out, especially the lace.
I do love picking up a project that's further along than I remember, it's like an instant FO.
