I'm blushing a little; thanks for all the compliments on the lace shell. So here's more. I finished this Shapely Tank last night. It's Tahki Soft Cotton I pulled out of the GSRP box, and I swear it's only coincidence that it's practically the same color as the lace shell.
Instead of the pattern's garter stitch border I used seed stitch to make it a little dressier, and I added some scattered purl stitches to break up the stockinette monotony, with graduated spacing between the purl stitches of the border and of the body.
And I ran. I ran so far awa-ay... Wait, no, forget Flock of Seagulls -- I actually ran. Around the lake. I made it about 2 miles (I'm estimating), which is much farther than I've gotten before, and well on my way to the 5k.
Woot! Sorry I've been remiss about leaving comments lately...both tanks are just gorgeous. I love the changes you made to Shapely!

The tank is great! A lovely fit, and hey, nice pose! I like the little changes you made to the pattern to spice it up. And good job on the running! You'll be all set for the 5k!

Yay! 2 miles! That's awesome.... I had to walk twice for a couple of minutes on Sunday... hoping for better today.
I *heart* and covet that tank. The little purls are inspired and the fit is perfect. For some reason I chose to do my shapely tank in a blend that had a little wool (only a little) in it. Stupid. WAY too hot to wear. Must redo one just like yours! :)

Wah! It's a double strizzy knitting whammy! I love this tank on you -- I think it's the most flattering shapely tank I've seen yet. And you go with your bright colours!

Shapely indeed! You did a great job fitting that to your fabulous girlish figure! And in case you're wondering, there is no such thing as too much orange...
